Matthew F. Anich

Matthew F. Anich was born and raised in Ashland, Wisconsin, graduating from Ashland High School in 1969. From there he went on to the University of Wisconsin-Superior (B.S., 1973 cum laude) and Marquette University Law School (J.D., 1975). He was admitted to the State Bar of Wisconsin and the U.S. District Courts of the Western and Eastern Districts for Wisconsin in 1975. After being employed by John Day in Spencer, Wisconsin, he was appointed Ashland County District Attorney in January 1977 and served as District Attorney and Family Court Commissioner of Ashland County until 1986. In 1986 he joined the law firm of Wartman, Wartman and Dallenbach which is now Anich, Wickman & Lindsey S.C.

 

Attorney Anich is also very active in the community: Tamarack Health Ashland Memorial Center board member; Ashland Foundation, Director; Mount Hope Cemetery Association, Director; Elks Lodge #137; Rotary International; Vaughn Public Library Foundation, President; former Vaughn Public Library Board President; former Ashland Area Development Corporation, Secretary; former Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce board member; former District Chair Wah Da Bong District, Boy Scouts of America; former Northland Bank of Wisconsin Director.
